Fees: The processing fee is a cost-recovery measure that helps cover the expenses involved in making donor milk safe and accessible. This includes donor screening, cold freight, pasteurisation, microbiological testing, cold storage, and staffing. These essential steps ensure the milk is safe for the most vulnerable babies.
Mothers Milk Bank relies on private donations. There is a sliding-scale Medical Relief Fund applied so that our processing fee doesn’t prevent families from getting the help they need.
