Community Support
There are a number of organizations who have offered to support this project. I would like to thank and recognize Dr Andrew Davidson and Adnan Catakovic, Scientific and Managing Director of The City Fertility Clinic, John Flynn Gold Coast Medical Centre for the offer of a storage facility. S and N Pathology and QML pathology services support to provide the bacteriological testing of milk and microbiological testing of milk after the milk is pasteurised and to help store milk as required, the Medela team who have donated the equipment the mothers need to express the milk once a day. A special thank you to Jenny Jones (Lactation Consultant, early childhood nurse and midwife) for all her time and welcome advice as well as the Midwives at the John Flynn Birth Centre. The encouragement and support of Dr Richard Cherry Paedatrition, Birth Centre and Dr Mark Patrick, Pediatric gastroenterologist, Brisbane.

However, if mother and child should still need support, our products are there to help them. Breastmilk contains all the important nutrients and antibodies for a baby to thrive. For this reason, the World Health Organization (WHO), midwives and lactation consultants as well as pediatricians all recommend that babies should be nourished exclusively with breastmilk during the first 6 months after they are born. |
